How to play

1. Choose your team

Your Tiebreaker only comes into play if you are tied with other teams or one of your team drops out before the tournament begins. See full game rules below.

Pay £10 to enter each team.
Enter 4 teams to get a 5th team free.

You can have up to a maximum of 20 teams (including four free teams).

3. Follow live

The game leaderboard updates in real-time so you always know your team’s position.

Favourite and follow your friends’ teams to see who will win the prizes.

It is important that you read and understand these Game Rules before playing £10 Fantasy Golf for the US Open 2023 (‘Game’). By taking part in the Game, you are agreeing that you have read and agreed to these Game Rules.

Key Rules

1. You must be 18 or over and live in the UK to play the Game.

2. It costs £10 for each entry. 10% early bird discount available up until 12:00pm on Thursday 8 June 2023.

3. To enter and play the Game you must pay for your team(s) before the advertised closing time on the mobile website.

4. You must pick 5 golfers and 1 ‘Tiebreaker’ (see Tiebreaker & Golfer Withdrawals below for definition and how the Tiebreaker is used) to enter a team to earn points based on their ‘Prize Money’ finishing position (see Prize Money & Points section below for definition of Prize Money and how they are used to calculate points).

5. The aim of the Game is to accumulate the most points from your team to finish at the top of the leaderboard and win a share of the ‘Prize Pool’ generated by the total entry fees minus Commission (see Prize Pool section below for more details).

6. For every 4 teams you enter you will be rewarded a 5th team for free.

7. You may enter a maximum of 20 teams, including paid and free teams.

8. If you have more than one entry, each entry is separate. You may not change or swap picks from one entry to the other.

9. It is possible to edit your picks any time up until the entry deadline, as advertised on the mobile website. Once the advertised closing time on the mobile website has been reached, all picks are locked.

10. If you buy an early bird entry, your team will not have any golfers picked.

11. If you have not made your picks before the picks close, your team will be made up of:

  • the top 3 golfers in the world rankings, who are competing in the tournament; and
  • a random selection of 3 golfers from the remaining top 30 golfers in the world rankings in the tournament. This is randomly allocated across the remaining 2 picks in the team and the ‘Tiebreaker’.

12. After the picks close you will not be able to change your team.

13. If the tournament is postponed or delayed, we reserve the right to extend the entry deadline and/or void the Game. If the Game is void, all stakes will be refunded to your account within 5 working days of confirmation that the Game has been voided.

Tiebreaker & Golfer withdrawals

14. Tiebreaker: a ‘Tiebreaker’ is the 6th golfer you pick for your team. Your ‘Tiebreaker’ only comes into play in certain circumstances.

15. If one of your golfers withdraws prior to the start of the tournament, you will be able to edit this pick up until the advertised closing time on the mobile website. If you do not make the change in time, we will automatically replace the withdrawn golfer with your ‘Tiebreaker’. You will then be allocated the highest golfer in the world rankings who is competing in the tournament (who is not already in your team) as your ‘Tiebreaker’. If you have more than 1 golfer who withdraws in this scenario, we will repeat the steps above until you have 5 golfers and 1 ‘Tiebreaker’.

16. If one of your golfers withdraws from the tournament prior to teeing off in the 1st round (even after the tournament has started), we will automatically replace the withdrawn golfer with your ‘Tiebreaker’. From here, the same rules at rule 15 apply.

17. If your golfer withdraws for any reason during the course of the Game after he has teed off in the 1st round, he will be treated as if he has missed the cut. Your ‘Tiebreaker’ golfer does not take the withdrawn golfer’s place in these circumstances.

18. For all positions on the leaderboard, your ‘Tiebreaker’ comes into play if your team’s score is tied with one or more teams. The result is then decided on the highest finishing ‘Tiebreaker’ golfer. If the ‘Tiebreaker’ golfers are tied, dead heat rules apply. Dead heat rules mean we will divide the winnings proportionally between the number of tied winners for that position.

Prize Money & Points

19. Prize Money: is the money awarded to a golfer based on their finishing position on the leaderboard.

20. The breakdown for the ‘Prize Money’ for the Game is taken from the 2022 US Open and can be found here. However, for golfers who make the cut, but finish below 60th place, their prize money is calculated as $100 less than the prize money position ahead of them. For golfers who miss the cut, their ‘Prize Money’ will be $10,000.

21. Amateurs score points for the purposes of the Game in the same way as professionals.

22. Points: your team’s points total is calculated by the total Prize Money your team wins and will be used to determine your final position on the leaderboard.

Prize Pool & Payouts

23. Prize Pool: you are competing to win a share of the ‘Prize Pool’ generated by the total entry fees minus our Commission (see Commision below) as set out in the example Prize Pool Payouts Table and the three Daily Prizes (see Daily Prizes Section below).

24. The Prize Pool is split between the leaderboard and ‘Daily Prizes’ (See Daily Prizes section below). The split between is:

  • Leaderboard: 98% of the Prize Pool
  • ‘Daily Prizes’: 2% of the Prize Pool

25. The Prize Pool will increase as more entrants enter the Game, once the ‘Prize Pool’ reaches £5,000. For example, if 2,500 entrants enter the Game and each buys one entry the ‘Prize Pool’ will be £20,000 (total entry fees minus our Commission).

26. The Game will settle and pay out after the results for the tournament are confirmed (see Settlement below). The winner(s) will be the entrant(s) with the most points overall and the top 25% of entrants will win a cash payout.

27. Confirmation of any prizes will be confirmed after the tournament has finished and the Game has been settled (see Settlement below). During the Game live prizes are shown, which include your share of the pot for your position on the leaderboard. These amounts shown in the Game are provisional estimates of what you will win.

28. Commission: 20% of the entry fees go to Network Gaming.

29. All payouts will be made into your wallet within 5 working days of the Game being settled.

Daily Prizes

30. Daily Prizes: are iconic positions in golf or in the tournament where there will be a cash payout if you finish in one of these positions on the leaderboard at the end of each day’s play of the tournament.

31. There are three Daily Prizes for each of the 4 days of the tournament.

32. The total of the 12 cash payouts (3 Daily Prizes x 4 days of the tournament) will equal 2% of the ‘Prize Pool’.

1st position on the leaderboard at close of play
  • ‘RECORD BREAKER PRIZE’ – 0.166% of the ‘Prize Pool’ each day
268th position on the leaderboard at close of play (this represents the lowest aggregate score by 2011 champ Rory McIlroy)
  • ‘TRIPLE BOGEY PRIZE’ – 0.166% of the ‘Prize Pool’ each day
Third from last on the leaderboard at close of play

Settlement

34. Settlement of Game will be determined by the tournament incident timings provided by Enetpulse’s data (see Tournament Incidents & Data). However, if the tournament is shortened for any reason (e.g. bad weather), the result of the Game will be settled on the official PGA Tour result for the tournament.

35. Please be aware that the Game DOES NOT END AFTER THE FINAL PUTT OF THE TOURNAMENT in the Game. The Game ends when all tournament incidents, results, points, and winnings are settled at the earliest of:

  • 30 minutes from the Game finishing (“Settlement”); or
  • 5 days from the Game finishing if Network Gaming identifies a material technical error and/or omission.

36. At Settlement, no further incoming data or updates are processed, meaning all race incidents, results, points and prize payouts awarded in the Game are final. All finishing positions and prize payouts are also final at this time.

Tournament Incidents & Data

37. Tournament incidents are determined using a live data feed supplied by a third party data provider, Enetpulse.

38. The specific data feed powering the Game is known as “Enetpulse sports data API” data feed (https://enetpulse.com/sports-data-api/).

39. We make no modifications whatsoever to the incoming Enetpulse data.

40. We are not responsible for the content of the incoming Enetpulse data and have no liability for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies it may contain.

41. If Enetpulse sends new or updated information and/or Network Gaming identifies a technical error, tournament incidents and their impact upon points and/or leaderboard position may be updated at any time prior to Settlement.

42. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of all live data, tournament incidents and points in the Game. Given the “In Play” nature of the Game, there may be times when the tournament incidents reported by Enetpulse and/or Network Gaming differ from the tournament incidents and results as interpreted by users, media outlets or other data providers.

43. In situations where tournament incidents and results are interpreted or reported differently by other users, media outlets or data providers, the interpretation of these tournament incidents and results as determined by Enetpulse at Settlement will be final and Network Gaming will pay out prizes accordingly.

44. No dialogue or correspondence will be entered into regarding tournament incidents and results reported by Network Gaming and the entrants points or leaderboard position in relation to them. By playing the Game, you accept that the tournament incidents, results, points and leaderboard position awarded by Network Gaming are final.
